Sharon Baylak
Gold Coast Emotional Health Therapist
My interest in energy work began back in Canada when, in grade eight, my science teacher told us, “everything is energy.” That sentence stuck with me. Years later, I stumbled across a book on energy medicine, and remembering those words, I began trying the techniques. I was amazed by the results – and so began my passion for understanding energy’s influence on emotions and wellbeing.
In 2005, while feeling stressed after starting an importing business, my sister introduced me to Reiki. I experienced a profound sense of calm in my first session and was inspired to learn more. I became a Usui Reiki Master Teacher and also trained in Seichim Healing, an Egyptian modality and beautiful complement to Reiki.
Then came one of the biggest challenges of my life – a cancer diagnosis. During treatment, I also lost both of my parents and a close friend. The grief was immense. Energy medicine became a lifeline, helping me stay grounded and emotionally supported through it all. After successful treatment, I was cleared of cancer and felt called to help others.
At 42, I returned to study and completed my Bachelor of Nursing. I worked in aged care and general practice but often saw the limitations of conventional medicine. I felt even more drawn to holistic care and emotional healing.
My journey led me to Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or ‘tapping’), and I became a certified EFT Level II Practitioner. Nine years later, while on holiday in Canada, I discovered The MAP Method™ (Make Anything Possible), a transformative technique that works with the subconscious to gently shift old patterns. I completed my certification and became a MAP Practitioner.
Today, as an Integrative Energy Practitioner, I draw on Reiki, EFT, MAP, and Seichim to support clients on their path from chaos to calm. Through energy techniques and the power of the mind-body connection, I help people find balance, healing, and clarity.
I look forward to welcoming you in clinic and supporting your journey toward emotional wellbeing.
