Gua Sha is another ancient technique incorporated into traditional Chinese medicine to promote health and wellbeing and relieve painful, sore and tight muscle conditions.
Gua Sha is the scraping over an area of skin with a tool that is smooth, does not piece the skin but is rather effective in removing tightness, stiffness and congestion in the tissues underneath. In TCM theory this is called releasing the wind. Once again this is different to just pressure received from a massage. It is used for specific areas and you can feel the benefit almost immediately.
Gua Sha is very safe. There may be some mild superficial bruising but this will leave the skin quickly and usually doesn’t last more than three days if it does occur.

Gua Sha on the face enhances the ability for the skin to tone, improves the texture and promotes circulation to those areas on the face that get tight or puffy. Within minutes your skin is feeling alive and vital again.
